2014-Present

    Relocated the head office upon completion of the new headquarters building.

    Developed “Pegasus Fulix”, a unique cross-border e-commerce fulfillment platform.

    Pegasus Global Express Co., Ltd. started cross-border

    Opened “Rabbit Nursery”, a childcare center within the workplace.

    Obtained approval for the merger with PT. Japaindo Intertrans Prima (Indonesia) and started service under the new system.

    Acquired NAKAMURA ENTERPRISE Co., Ltd. and integrated as a subsidiary.

  • September 2015

    PT. Pegasus Global Express Indonesia obtained freight forwarding license from the Indonesian Ministry of Transportation and started operation.

    Developed comprehensive business ties between KANDA HOLDINGS Co., Ltd, Takasue Corporation, TOHBU NETWORK CO., LTD., and HIGASHI TWENTY ONE CO., LTD.

Transferring to a holding company

The company name was changed to KANDA CORPORATION Co., Ltd. and transferred to a holding company.
2008-2013

    Changed share unit to 100 shares.

  • January 2013

    Opened South Tohoku Logistics Center.
    Opened Sakai Logistics Center.

  • November 2012

    Acquired Harbor Management Co., Ltd. and integrated as a subsidiary. Its trade name was changed to Pegasus Cargo Service Co., Ltd.

  • October 2012

    Acquired JPL Ltd. and integrated as a subsidiary.

  • September 2012

    Established Pegasus Global Express Co., Ltd. (Thailand)

  • July 2012

    Changed head office address from “Misaki-cho, Chiyoda-ku” to “Higashikanda, Chiyoda-ku”, and relocated the headquarters office to Ukima, Kita-ku.

    KANDA CORETECHNO Co., Ltd. took over businesses including transportation and delivery of pharmaceuticals, moving service and other logistic services.

    Established LOGIMEDICAL Co., Ltd.’s office in Tama City.

  • May 2008

    In accordance with the transfer to a holding company, KANDA CORETECHNO Co., Ltd., and a company to prepare for the split-up (current KANDA CORPORATION Co., Ltd) were established.

Developing into a comprehensive logistics company

Opened Ora Office, Tamamura Center, Chiba Togane Center, Sagamihara Center, Murata Office and Kazo Logistics Center. The company currently has offices in 35 locations.
In addition, a service called “BtoC Direct” was launched as part of the network service.
1999 – 2007

Expanding logistics center services

During this period, we provided services including bulk delivery of pharmaceuticals and in-hospital distribution, as well as installed a cash service center and warehouse buildings that are currently in operation in Ukima, Iwatsuki, Ariake, and Narashino.
1994 – 1999

    Opened the second facility of the logistics center in Iwatsuki City, Saitama.

    Opened a commercial warehouse in Kanuma City, Tochigi.

    Opened a logistics center in Iwatsuki City, Saitama.

Marking the company’s 50th anniversary in 1993 with its vision of providing comprehensive logistics services, the company name was changed to KANDA CORPORATION Co., Ltd, and was listed on the Japan Securities Dealers Association stock exchange (current JASDAQ). Current capital is 1,772,784,000 yen.

Expanding from transportation business to logistics business

Established affiliates in Tochigi, Gunma, and Saitama Prefectures and developed a parcel delivery network in the North Kanto region to support community-based life and to contribute to the development of the region. In 1986, the company installed an automated sorting machine in a delivery center of a major mass-market retailer. Its computer system attracted public attention, and we received many visitors from the world. The know-how of the system is accumulated and developed to the present.
1983 – 1990

Transportation of publications

Undertook delivery services of publication distributors that were established after the dissolution of a national organization that was monopolizing the distribution of publications. At present, our delivery service covers all areas in Japan including Hokkaido and Okinawa.
In 1963, the company took the initiative in introducing a nationwide joint delivery system of publications.
1963 – 1978

    Established Gunma Delivery Ltd. to provide delivery service to department stores in Gunma Prefecture

    Opened truck terminal in Ukima, Kita-ku, Tokyo.

Developing regular route network (current “combined loading service”)

In the postwar 1950’s, the company started “Kanda Transport” that delivered textile products from Kiryu (Gunma Prefecture), Ashikaga and Sano (Tochigi Prefecture) to the wholesale district in Nihonbashi (Tokyo). In addition, same-day and overnight delivery services that connected Utsunomiya (Tochigi Prefecture) and Kofu (Yamanashi Prefecture) with the Tokyo area contributed largely to the development of the region.
At that time, the operating section was between Sendai (Miyagi Prefecture), Matsumoto (Nagano Prefecture) and Osaka area, and other areas of Japan were covered by business alliances.
1948 – 1956

    Started packing and storage services.

    Started transportation business.

  • August 1952

    Started regular route service between Tokyo and Utsunomiya.

  • February 1950

    Started regular route service between Tokyo and Kofu.

  • April 1948

    Started regular route service “Kanda Transport” between Kiryu and Tokyo.

Early stage of establishment

The company was founded in 1943 as “Kanda Transportation” by the merger of 16 transport companies in Kanda ward in accordance with the national policy of building a framework for military transportation.
1943 – 1944

  • May 1944

    Established under the trade name of Kanda Transportation with the capital of 2.3 million yen. The headquarters was located in Sakuma-cho, Kanda-ku, Tokyo.

  • November 1943

    Founded by the merger of 16 transport companies in Kanda ward of Tokyo in accordance with the third revision of the Road Transport Business Act.
